A palm slides across the skin. Try to grip and it escapes; try to pin it and it slips. A viscous liquid erases the friction between two bodies and turns the contact into a different texture. Lotion, the most practical tool on the scene of sex, grew into a pleasure device in its own right. Lotion (English: lubricant) is the Japanese term for sexual lubricant in general and for “lotion play,” coating the body in large amounts to enjoy the slipperiness and visual effect.
