Secretary scenario (Japanese: 秘書もの, hisho-mono) is the Japanese AV scenario class centred on the personal secretary attached to an executive, director, or similar senior figure. Within the office-occupation cluster, the secretary scenario differs from the wider OL-line workplace category, which handles mid-tier and junior staff. Justifying pretexts

Secretary-scenario works deploy a recurring set of work-side pretexts for the two-person closed configuration: overtime meetings, business-trip hotel stays, client entertainment, company-vehicle transit, the protagonist being driven home (or driving the executive home), the secretary accompanying the executive on a business trip. The configuration sits in continuity with the business-trip genre and the cross-segment work in which the secretary scenario configures business-trip co-travel functions as a frequent inter-genre intersection.

Power-relation reconfiguration

Derivative configurations include secretaries assigned to non-CEO directors (vice-president, managing director, auditor) and time-limited dispatched secretaries from staffing agencies. Dispatched secretary configurations can foreground employment insecurity as a “duty-related vulnerability” element, with the ethical configuration of such work varying widely.

Politician’s secretary
